Western Canada is renowned for its stunningly beautiful countryside. Stroll through Vancouver’s Stanley Park, overlooking the blue waters of English Bay or ski the slopes of world-famous Whistler-Blackcomb, surrounded by thousands of hectares of pristine forestland. Great Sand Hills

The Great Sand Hills span over a 1,900 sq km area of land containing many active desert-like sand dunes, grasses and flora. While there you can view many types of wildlife such as mule deer and antelope at the edge of the grassland along the sand hills.
Banff

The spirit of adventure is defined in Banff - Canada's first national park. Walk the streets of this charming alpine village by the same name, 135 km west of Calgary, and you might find yourself face to antler with an elk, or, nose to nose with another mountain biker or hiker.
While mountaineers, entrepreneurs and nature-lovers are lured to Banff today, back in 1883 it was railway workers who were leaving their tracks on this rugged landscape. Legend has it that Banff was discovered by three of these workers - Frank McCabe and the McCardell brothers who noticed a plume of steam rising from a crack of rock, near the present-day town site of Banff. Following it, they found a hot pool, which the world soon dubbed the Cave and Basin (now an historic site).

Thompson-Okanagan features wine festivals year-round. In the spring, fruit blossoms drip from the vines and the focus is on the culinary arts. In the summer, you can spend days touring and tasting at the region's many wineries and discover for yourself why BC wines have gained a worldwide reputation for excellence. And every January, the Sun Peaks Resort plays host to a celebration of the region's brilliant vintages and winter recreation. With its intoxicating landscape and unparalleled vintages, a trip to Thompson-Okanagan is a must for anyone who appreciates the finer things in life.
